Terms of Use

These Terms of Use govern your access to and use of MtaaniWeb, including the website at mtaaniweb.co.ke (the "Platform"). By using MtaaniWeb you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Platform.

1. What MtaaniWeb is

MtaaniWeb is a local discovery and media platform that helps people find businesses, places, events, experiences and things happening around them. MtaaniWeb is not the business or organiser being featured, and does not become a party to any transaction between you and a business or organiser.

2. Information accuracy

Business information, availability, pricing, opening hours, services and event details may change. Please confirm directly with the business or organiser before making arrangements or payments. MtaaniWeb does not guarantee a business's quality, licensing, safety, pricing or claims.

3. Using the Platform

You may browse, search and save items without an account. You agree not to misuse MtaaniWeb. This includes submitting false information, trying to manipulate rankings, view counts or trending results, scraping content at scale without permission, interfering with the security or operation of the Platform, or using it for unlawful purposes.

4. My Saves

Items you save in My Saves are stored privately in your own browser. MtaaniWeb does not keep a list of what you personally saved. MtaaniWeb may show an aggregate save count on a business profile without identifying who saved it. Clearing your browser data removes your saved items.

5. Submissions and reports

When you send a message, request a listing, suggest an event or report an issue, you confirm the information you give is accurate and that you are allowed to share it. We may use it to review, publish, correct or remove content, and to contact you about it. See our Privacy Policy.

6. Content and sponsorship

MtaaniWeb curates and publishes editorial content, business listings, events and campaigns. Sponsored or paid content is always labelled as such and is never presented as independent editorial endorsement. See our Advertising and Sponsored Content Policy and Content Guidelines.

7. Intellectual property

The MtaaniWeb name, logo, design and original editorial content, including guides and Mtaani Picks, belong to MtaaniWeb. Business and organiser names, logos and images remain the property of their owners and appear with their permission or as supplied by them. You may share links to MtaaniWeb pages, but you may not republish our editorial content without written permission.

8. Third-party links and services

MtaaniWeb links to websites, social profiles, maps, ticketing pages and messaging apps run by others. We do not control them and are not responsible for their content, availability or practices.

9. Availability

We aim to keep MtaaniWeb available but do not promise it will be uninterrupted or error free. We may change, pause or remove features at any time.

10. Limitation of liability

MtaaniWeb is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. To the extent permitted by law, MtaaniWeb is not liable for losses arising from your reliance on information on the Platform or from dealings with any business or event organiser found through it. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited under Kenyan law.

11. Changes

We may update these Terms from time to time. The latest version is always published on this page with its date. Continued use after a change means you accept the updated Terms.

12. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Kenya, and the courts of Kenya have jurisdiction over any dispute.
