MtaaniWeb does not use advertising cookies and does not track you across other websites. It stores a small amount of data in your browser so the site can work the way you expect.
What is stored on your device
- Theme choice: whether you prefer the dusk or dark look.
- Your neighbourhood: the neighbourhood you choose, if you choose one. It is not read from your device location.
- Anonymous visitor marker: a random code, not linked to your name, used to count visitors once a day and to tell new from returning visitors.
- Votes and visits: which polls you voted in and which places you marked as visited, so you are not asked twice.
- My Saves: the businesses, events and guides you save. This list never leaves your device.
- Session markers: short-lived flags, including how many pages and ads you have seen in this visit, kept only while the tab is open, so a page view or search is counted once rather than repeatedly, and so a form cannot be sent many times in a row.
Analytics
We count page views, visits, which pages and items are opened, saved, shared or contacted, how long a guide is read, which hours and days are busy, and search terms. We use this to understand how people use MtaaniWeb, to show what is trending, to schedule programming and to report to advertisers. The counts are anonymous, collected in aggregate and not sold to third parties. We skip counting for browsers that send a Do Not Track signal.
Third-party services
Links to WhatsApp, maps and social networks open services run by others under their own policies.
Your choices
Most browsers let you view, block or clear stored data in their settings. Clearing it resets preferences such as your theme and removes your saved items. See also our Privacy Policy.
