Data Request and Deletion Process

Last updated: 19 October 2026

Under the Data Protection Act, 2019 you can ask what personal information MtaaniWeb holds about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. This page explains how.

What you can ask for

How to make a request

Confirming who you are

To protect your information, we may ask you to confirm your identity before we act on a request.

What happens next

We will acknowledge your request promptly and respond within the time the law requires. If we cannot do what you ask, for example because the law requires us to keep a record, we will explain why.

Items saved in your browser

Your My Saves bookmarks and theme choice are stored on your own device, not on our servers. You can remove them any time by using the clear option on the My Saves page or by clearing your browser data.

Removing a business listing

If you represent a business and want its listing corrected or removed, use the same process and tell us the business name and your role.

Complaints

If you are unhappy with our response, you may complain to the Office of the Data Protection Commissioner of Kenya.
