Business Terms
These terms apply to any business, venue or organiser listed, claimed or promoted on MtaaniWeb.
1. Listing
A basic MtaaniWeb listing is free. You can ask to be listed through the List Your Business form. MtaaniWeb reviews each submission and decides whether and how to publish it. MtaaniWeb may also add businesses to its inventory using publicly available information before the business has claimed or verified its profile.
2. Claiming a listing
A business or its authorised representative may claim an existing listing by confirming ownership and contact details through our verification process. You must be authorised to act for the business.
3. Verification
Mtaani Verified status means MtaaniWeb has completed its verification process for that business. It is not government certification and is not a guarantee of quality, safety, licensing or customer satisfaction. Paying MtaaniWeb never grants verification.
4. Content rights
By submitting or supplying images, video, text or other content, you confirm you have the rights to it and allow MtaaniWeb to publish, resize and display it on the Platform and in MtaaniWeb's own social channels for discovery purposes. MtaaniWeb does not republish content taken from third-party sources, such as Instagram, without permission.
5. Accuracy and updates
You are responsible for the accuracy of the information you supply, including opening hours, contact details and services. Tell us promptly when something changes. MtaaniWeb may edit, suspend or remove a listing that is inaccurate, misleading, fraudulent or reported by users, in line with our Content Guidelines.
6. Public display of contact details
Phone numbers, WhatsApp numbers, addresses and social links you supply may be shown publicly on your profile. Do not supply personal contact details you do not want shown.
7. Editorial independence
Commercial visibility and editorial decisions are kept separate, and paid content is always labelled. See our Advertising Policy.
8. Verification
Claiming a profile and being verified are different things. Verification is a manual review by MtaaniWeb of evidence you provide, such as links to public pages. It is never granted for payment, it is not government certification, and it can be suspended or revoked if the information stops being true. See the Verification Policy.
9. Promotion
Sponsored placement, social distribution and campaigns are governed by the Campaign Terms.
10. Removal
A business may ask for its listing to be corrected or removed through the Contact page. We will act on reasonable requests promptly.
11. Liability
MtaaniWeb does not guarantee any number of views, saves, visits or sales from a listing. Our liability is limited as set out in the Terms of Use.
